We were born naked and when we pass on we will eventaly be naked, so what is the big deal

By the time you are 5 you have all seen it before, so why is it so many people still insist on complaining about public nudity ?

I like the element of surprise....when a man removes his boxers.

Or shock....

Or horror

I like to be able to tell whether a woman is a true blonde but the fashion nowdays is to remove all the evidence that shows

Oh Merlin, such naivety.

Imagine coming out of a restaurant having dined extremely well only to see a very obese naturist ( from the rear end), stooping down to talk to a child.

After depositing much of your meal in the nearest bin I feel sure your views would change

A person is obese whether they are clothed or not.

In a naturist environment the child would have no fear of of the person stooping to talk to them and would feel safe.

That's the different between the naturist world and the world of those who conceal themselves and who confuse sex and naturism.

So are you saying that only people with absolutely perfect bodies should be naturists?

How would you define these perfect bodies?

What about anorexics, people with birth marks or skin pigmentations, healed surgical scars, retarded growth? Would you exclude everyone over a certain age? Would you exclude people because they were too hairy or because they were too bald?

A person is a human being whether clothed or unclothed.

Hi,

No I'm not. What I am saying is from what I have seen of naturists, the majority of them would do better to keep their clothes on. It's not nice and it's not pretty.

I didn't for a second question whether they were human or not.

Don't try and bait me cause you're fishing in the wrong pond.

The key words STS are the majority that you have seen.

The international naturist movement of men. women and children of all ages, sizes and shapes.

Have you been to a continental beach or hotel where you see this mixture of people?

I agree that in this Country it tends to be mainly the older people who are prepared to be filmed for the media. The reason why is that younger members may be teased or be affected at work because of their being naturists.

This is largely because many non-naturist regard naturist activities as "sexy" which they are not. This has sometimes happened because of the production of "naturist" videos or magazines that promote naked bodies for commercial gain.

Once, in a naturist environment, the visual "sex" aspect is removed from male to female relationships we get to know each other better as people.

How much more healthier it is for youngsters to stop imagining what is under clothing and then think about what is under the skull!!!

haha @ STS

It certainly didn't do me any harm either!

I like clothing, I like men in boxer shorts.
I don't really need to see his meat and two veg to know what goes under his skull.

I suppose I can't see the point of naturism.
I'm not saying I think it's wrong...just wrong for me.

What if people felt that they felt much more liberated having a cr*p in public?

As long as they were happy to clean it up (you know... with a sort of adult pooper-scooper) would that be ok?

If not, why not?

from wl

The point was nothing to do with the child but the view presented to the diner who just having had a meal was presented with such a sight, not one to improve digestion methinks

Perhaps our reason for isolation from Europe is not political but somewhat Victorian attitudes concerning naturists.

Most naturists who are happy on the beach and swimmng pools without clammy wet costumes will dress up to go to a restaurant for a special evening meal.

I assure you that naturists beaches and hotels tend to be cleaner and less contaminated by crap and debris than textile ones

Obviously Mark Twain had not been along to the Annual General Meeting of a Naturist Club

but........

Joan, who was rather well-proportioned, spent almost all of her vacation sunbathing on the roof of her hotel. She wore a bathing suit the first day, but on the second, she decided that no one could see her way up there, so she slipped out of it for a full body tan.

She'd hardly begun when she heard someone running up the stairs. She was lying on her stomach, so she just pulled a towel over her rear.

"Excuse me, miss," said the flustered assistant manager of the hotel, out of breath from running up the stairs. "The Hilton doesn't mind your sunbathing on the roof, but we would very much appreciate your wearing a bathing suit as you did yesterday."

"What difference does it make?" Joan asked rather calmly. "No one can see me up here, and besides, I'm covered with a towel."

"Not exactly," said the embarrassed man. "You're lying on the dining room skylight."

I agree with Worldlife here - having exposed my not so beautiful body to the world at many a naturist beach.
This argument about what's beautiful or not won't hold water.
Faces, bums, legs etc may all be considered beautiful or ugly.
But because somebody has an ugly face there would be a public outrage if it was suggested they walk around with a bag over their head!
What I consider an outrage in an enlightened society is that people can be so 'clothsist' and insist I cover some parts of my body.
I don't object to them wearing clothes - they shouldn't object to me wearing none.
The whole point of the naturist movement is not about what we look like but what we feel like.
And I don't feel it's healthy to teach our kids that they must hide their body away because it's somehow ugly or dirty.
I just laugh when I see these pathetic people trying to hold towels round them as they wriggle in an out of swimming gear and go home probably with sand where it shouldn't be - just because they think they have to hide their bits!
Has anybody got any nudie smileys I can add here?

Keeping to the topic

A minister, a priest and a rabbi went for a hike one day. It was very hot. They were sweating and exhausted when they came upon a small lake. Since it was fairly secluded, they took off all their clothes and jumped in the water.

Feeling refreshed, the trio decided to pick a few berries while enjoying their "freedom." As they were crossing an open area, who should come along but a group of ladies from town.

Unable to get to their clothes in time, the minister and the priest covered their privates and the rabbi covered his face while they ran for cover.

After the ladies had left and the men got their clothes back on, the minister and the priest asked the rabbi why he covered his face rather than his privates. The rabbi replied, "I don't know about you, but in MY congregation, its my face they would recognize."
