KPN Experia Box aka Speedtouch 780WL - How to get into it???

Hi All,

I have a KPN experia box (which is a speedtouch 780WL but with KPN's own firmware) and I'm trying to update the firmware to an english one.

I have the firmware and the update tool - what I lack is the admin username and password

Even after a reset to factory defaults it still will not accept anything I have tried

Administrator/
Administrator/Administrator
admin/blank
admin/admin

Any suggestions anyone?

Is there a thompson password that will back door it?

Try....

Username = Administrator and password = Password.

Or....

Username = admin and password = password.

I believe the setup webpage IP address is 192.168.2.1, but not 100% sure,

No luck with those or any combination of those - thanks anyway

Found a couple more you can try, lol.

Username = KPN and password = leave blank.

Username = KPN and password = admin.

No joy with those - the solution seems to be going into bootp mode (hold the reset button until the red power light goes orange and you get bootp mode instead)

I am curious to know if you ever managed to crack this. I am an Englishman living in Holland and also have this setup. As an IT person myself, I also want a bit more control over my home network, starting with the router (KPN Experi Box). When I contacted KPN to ask them how I do this they simply said that it had been protected from the average Joe in the street so that they don't keep getting support calls when people mess things up (understandable). However, there was no answer as to how to get into the thing, even if you know what you are doing.

Set up page on mine is 192.168.2.254, gets you into the thomson bits
